None of the churches I've ever gone to have been big production churches, not even close. Mostly Baptist, some non-denom.

Well church is boring as hell and the kid is three. Jeez at least he wasn't crying

I would have a bigger issue if it was a child that was actually old enough to listen/understand the message.

Heck they could have been 5. What is the cut off age to make this acceptable?

obviously the OP and anyone who is distracted by a fricking toddler playing with a toy at a venue where toys and playing shouldn't be remotely considered acceptable. If they're in the cry room, so be it. But allowing this in the midst of the general congregation is unacceptable.

How about you just pay attention to the reason you're there and STFU about what other people do?

I don't do church anymore, but when I was a kid, my mom would give me a coloring book, bag of colored pencils, and a bag of dry cheerios to snack on.
Anything to keep me quiet for an hour.
Is this practice frowned upon now? Seems better than kids screaming and fidgeting.

Stop worrying about other people's kids and pay attention to the service. If they aren't disturbing the service what the frick difference does it make.

I think you should bring an empty spray bottle to church. Fill it with holy water. Kids act up - spray 'em.

The biblical imperative is NOT to not judge others, but to realize you too will be judged. Nothing wrong with judging others.

Church is boring. Try being a kid in church too.

This whole post is exactly what's wrong with pious religious assholes like yourself that take your church entirely too seriously. Do you think Jesus would have an attitude like yours?

Sooo you are saying the bible says its ok to judge people?
Its all starting to make sense now.

I could care less what they do. I guess I am just old school and expect a child to sit through church and have some discipline like. These are prob the same parents that take an Ipad out to eat with them and give it to the childern to they dont have to talk to them. Its an epedimic!
