Takes a little of the "magic" out of Christmas......
But MAN does it make things easier. Thank Christ.

Mine put on all year like he didn't believe so we let him open all his presents last night, he woke up pissed because Santa didn't bring anything.
So I stuck $100 in his stocking
I'm a Sucker

I love having a child in the house who believes, but I was a little
when she said, “Christmas is the one day we get anything for FREE!” last night. Not that she has any real concept of the price of anything. It all makes me appreciate my parents more.

My 8 year old did. 4 year old does. My 8 year old put my wife’s old iPhone in the tree and set it on record I got busted putting the presents under the tree last night. We did catch her before she went and told our 4 year old though.

My 5yo (and oldest) asked last night if Santa was real. I looked at my wife like "WTF?!"

Mine neither. This is the first year that I knew for sure. I'm pretty sure they just played along with it the last year or two.

Yeah after we opened presents she says y’all want to see Santa and went and got the phone out of the tree. It had 4% battery left which I don’t know how it hasn’t kept a charge in about a year. Sure enough there was my arse on video bringing in the presents.

An iPhone recorded a video of the entire night? Like 5+ hours?

And the 8 y/o has already had time to review 5, 6 or 8 hours of recording?

While sitting in the aftermath of torn paper and toys this morning, our 8 year old asked, “Which presents were from Santa and which were from you and Dad?” I have suspected since last year that he knew the truth, and was already prepared on what to say.
I asked, “What do YOU think?”
He looked away and tried not to smile, but couldn’t help it.
“Do you know the truth about Santa?”
He laughed and nodded.
“What is the truth?”
He said, “Santa isn’t real!” while giggling and looking like he just said a cuss word.
I was so relieved to hear that, and asked “Wasn’t this a fun game to play for us all to play when you were little? Now that you’re big, you have to keep the secret so other kids can keep enjoying it.”
He promised to keep the secret and I told him he was smart for figuring it out all by himself. We are relieved the Santa lie is over. I am even considering letting him play with the stupid elf and showing him my collection of his baby teeth.

Christmas is definitely more fun when you have little ones around. Eating Santa's cookies is better than waiting for him.
