since we're being gross, here's my last one.
passed it at work in a urinal.
i actually had to 'pry' it out of my dickhole, the only reason i knew it was there was when i went to take a piss, it started spraying everywhere

I have had five in the past year and a half. Just had a 12mm stone blasted about three weeks ago. I hope you get some relief (morphine) soon.

After reading this shite, I think I'm just going to live on a diet of apple cider vinegar water until I die

One of my friends had one kick in full throttle on a flight to Hawaii.
Sounded like the worst experience ever.

I am approaching 200 stones passed...by my best guesstimate.
Just had a 1 cm stone crushed about a week ago.
Family curse...routine occurrence for me.
Many stories about odd occurences/times the stone hit me. Best one:
My wife went into labor and I load her up and begin the 1 hour drive to the hospital. On the way there I have an attack. We pull up to the ER with both of us in pain. The take care of my wife and I then tell them about my situation.
I wake up later on the OB floor in my wife's room...they have stopped her labor due to my stone. She was not happy.

I feel you man.
I also changed my view on drug addicts after going through that pain. I can see how you can get addicted to painkillers and stuff.

Holy shite I did not know kidney stones were this common an occurrence. This sounds like the worst thing in the world and I am immediately getting on whatever diet prevents them.
Posted on 8/4/16 at 8:42 pm to McCaigBro69
I wouldn't call it common but a lot of middle aged men get them. I got my first at 34 and second at 36.
Since then I've drank a lot of lemonade. If rather not go through it again.

Could not imagine. I ruptured an ear drum on a descent into MSY at midnight one time. It was pretty bad for the 20 minutes or so until I could walk. Having to deal with a kidney stone that long with no relief would make me want to find an exit.

Felt a weird pain in my back kind of dull, then sorta went around my waist, then changed to a feeling like my left testicle was in a vice. Three trips to the er in one weekend. Pain mess and tried to pass for a week , then finally lipotripsy . Thank you Jesus for Lipotripsy!!

How do you know they are coming? Like you feel a buring sensation once or twice a month? Or am I thinking STDs?

I had a kidney stone in March 2014 that was so bad I had to go to the emergency room. Easily the worst pain I have experienced.
It started out as a weird back pain that I couldn't shake regardless of how I stretched. At the time I wasn't sure what was going on. It felt like I was getting hit by a blunt object in the lower left part of my back, and it was getting worse. It was bad enough for me to want go home from work early to stretch out. The ride home through Memphis streets was excruciating. Every bump, and every time I had to move the steering wheel was really painful. I almost couldn't get out of my truck when I got home, and breath seemed to hurt my back. I somehow got up the stairs and got into bed to stretch out, and the pain subsided a little for about a half hour or so.
Thank God my wife returned home around the time the pain started to come back....this time a little more to my side and around the front towards my groin. It started to feel more and more like a stabbing pain now. My wife wanted to take me to the emergency room but I could not move and there was no way I was getting down the stairs again.
An hour or two later, the pain subsided just enough for me to get down stairs into her car and to the urgent care place. They took a urine sample.....which was very bloody and contained a lot of little chunks of tissue and flesh. The urgent care doctor sent me to the ER in Germantown.
After a CT scan, the doctor at Methodist Gemrmantown said I had a pretty big kidney stone but they didn't recommend surgery. They filled me with pain medicine and I felt better. It took the edge off the pain, which came and went in waves for the next couple of days. Towards the end, it felt like I had to pee all the time even though there was nothing left. About 4-5 hours of that and it finally passed completely.
That was absolutely miserable pain. I stopped drinking tea and increased my water intake significantly since then. Did pretty well for a while.
I ended up getting another one 11 months later one night when I was in Istanbul for business. It was not nearly as bad as the first one, but the pain was intense for a 2-3 hours in my hotel room. It occurred to me while I was in the fetal position in that hotel bed at 3AM that I had no idea how to even communicate to anyone that I had a kidney stone and needed a doctor. I didn't speak a word of Turkish and no one was around anyway. Luckily it passed into my bladder without issue after a few hours. It hung out in there without drama for a while and passed later without too much trouble.
I don't travel anywhere without Flowmax and a couple of pain pills now, and I drink 20-30% more water than someone my size really needs every day.

I have had about 4 k/stone attacks.
1st one was the worst. I didn't know what was going on. X-Rays showed it was big as a Tylenol pill.
I was able to pass it through with just some pain meds & time.
They hit again a month later, same result. Pain meds and time to pass em through.
I keep a few pain pills around everywhere I go.
I had to give up carbonated drinks and few other things that are full of oxalates.
Also had to give taking vitamin/mineral supplements and those protein shakes in a can/bottle.
Luckily I had an old school Urologist doc. Told me to drink lots of water, drink water with real lemon juice as well. The lemon juice helps break up the calcium build-up in your body.
An old timey trick to pass kidney stones I learned of is to get water, some apple juice and a little olive oil mixed together & then drink it.
The olive oil will help lubricate the stones & help them pass a lot easier.
I have some olive oil & pain meds every where I go.

Yeah, that's not how the body works
Those fats in the oil get broken down by bile salts starting with the first part of the intestine. They then get absorbed in micelles which allow the fats to pass through the intestinal wall and into the blood stream. Then they are transported throughout the body for processing (much of which is done in the liver). The fats are used as energy or stored.
TL;DR: no, olive oil does not lubricate your urethra, but it is hilarious that you walk around with olive oil all the time

The acidity in apple cider vinegar and lemon juice does help along with raw cabbage
I'm not making a raw cabbage smoothie.. Will stick with vinegar.
