That's after surgery to remove stone. They do that to remove the stint they put in.

The stint has a string attached (envision a tampon) to it that hands out your pecker, but sometimes the string goes up into the bladder so that's how they grip it and rip it out of your body.

Basically you sit in a chair, they lean you back a little and do the procedure. I usually watch on the screen above the doctors head. Believe me passing a kidney stone is 1000x worse than this. You feel some pressure and it fills like your about to shoot a double wad all over the place.

Peeing afterwards when the stint has been pulled out from your kidney thru your pecker hurts more than the procedures.

Hell, once you get them, you'll soon realize it's in way more than coffeee, tea, cola, milk, kale, spinach, dark chocolate,etc..

It's(calcium oxalate) in so many things, ranking from High to Moderate to Low, not to mention other ways of having it(Struvite,etc..)..

ive passed 2; one at maybe 44 years old and another at 47 or 48.

after the initial one i had an EKG or MRI or whatever it is and they could see there was another one that would be a problem.

sure enough..3 years later

i havent had an MRI done in a couple years so i'm a little frightened to see how my insides look these days.

but like the poster above noted, i've cut down on the types of foods & beverages that tend to create the mineralization

My last Google search was "kidney stone prevention."

I already drink lots of water, and I eat less meat than most people. But I also eat nuts almost every day as a source of healthy fat, and lots of veggies, including some that are pretty high in oxalates.

I'm telling you, throw a couple shots of Apple cider vinegar into a glass of water every morning and slam it.

There no downside.

Apparently there are other health benefits associated with apple cider vinegar too. At 3 calories per tablespoon, it's worth a shot.

Yep. They do. Had one so bad a couple of years back that I couldn't move for several hours. Passed out a couple of times.

More like a CAT scan or ultrasound.

I was at work one time talking to my boss, next thing I knew he was helping me up off the floor. The pain hit me all at once and it was such an intense pain I blacked out.

Imagine a golf ball being pushed through a water hose. just remember anything you drink will be behind the stone helping to push it out.

I've literally felt the stone slowly being passed from my bladder thru my pecker. I've been told it's like when you have gonnorea as far as the pain and felling (I don't know) but I can say it hurts and feels weird. You literally want to squeeze your pecker (like a tube of toothpaste) to try to help the stone on its journey.

They use the same ultrasound machine they use in obgyn clinics. Not the dildo one but the one they rub over your sides and stomach.

Had one one morning when I woke up at about 9. I was in the bathroom until 4 that afternoon just waiting, trying to piss and yelling in pain.

Finally passed it, and then SHOOSH, my piss looked like Clamato. Pissed again an hour later, still Clamato.

I pissed blood for a week before the pain hit me my last one.

I could tell by the way my back hurt in certain places, how I felt like I me I needed to piss but couldn't, and the blood in my piss.

When the pain hit I knew it was passing from my bladder and about 4 hrs later relief.

If the stone had of gotten caught up between my kidney and bladder there would have been a much longer period of pain. The blood in my piss was the stone passing from my kidney to my bladder and tearing the uretha

I was SO fricking nervous that it was going to hurt when I finally pissed mine out, but I didn't feel a thing. I only knew it came out because I caught it in the filter funnel they gave me.

My pain lasted for about 4 hours - from the time it started until they shot me up with 2 doses of morphine followed by 2 doses of dilaudid.

Then later all that shite had me puking my guts up. Better than not being able to walk, though.
