And isn’t allowed back for 14 days or proof of negative covid test. This is some shite, considering there are no rapid tests available near me. Best case, he is back in class Monday.

Anyone else dealt with this?

If he keeps coughing, get him tested.

If not, beat his arse.

I refuse to believe a major city like Atlanta has no rapid testing available to you somewhere.

ETA: Sending a kid home for a cough to quarantine is fricking dumb btw

Ridiculous.

But if you live in Atlanta, there are certainly rapid tests in your area.

Karen feels safe. That's what matters here.

That’s dumb. People cough. Tickle in throat. Swallowing the wrong way. Allergies.

I live in Atlanta and there are 3 places within 3 miles of my home that have drive up rapid testing with no appointment or insurance necessary. Are you one of those people that say you live in Atlanta but are really 30 miles outside of it?

My kid had the croup, Dr. sent her back with a note saying she was fine to go to school. One teacher asked her to cough normal one day. This was day 4 and she literally gets sick like this EVERY November. I looked at her health chart online last year she had this on Nov 12, this year it was Nov 2nd. Cough normal? I laughed at that.

One of mine who struggles with allergies woke up on a Monday with a bad cough. Figured it was allergies but also thought I would get a call from school so I brought her to the pediatrician. They ran a viral count and allergy count. Viral count was zero but allergies were through the roof. A note from the doctor was enough to get her back in school and we didn’t have any issues. No COVID test.

My daughter had temps over 101F yesterday from several people taking them while I was dropping her off at school. She has been congested and coughing since Friday so I brought her home and scheduled a covid test, which was negative.

She's back at school today.

My assumption is erroneous readings at school since she had a normal temp when we got home yesterday.

Yeah there are genuinely rapid test sites all over the metro, I pass like 4 on my 10 minute commute
