My kids think they are good enough to do this for a career. I keep telling them they are nothing compared to these guys. Those dudes are insanely good. We all roll our eyes but how cool would it have been to be a professional Mariokart or Goldeneye player?!!

This kid was smart enough to get into Vanderbilt. My 10 yr old son now thinks he can can be a gamer for a living. I told him if he can get into Vanderbilt or Harvard and decides to be a gamer I will kill him.

You should watch people speedrun old N64 games. There are people still discovering glitches in Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, etc. and setting world records for how fast they can finish the game

For every kid making bank, there are thousands staying up to 4 AM, neglecting schoolwork, and missing out on meaningful social interactions. No different than the kids in the hood thinking they'll be an NBA star or rapper.

An old guy from the shop who i was a helper for years back was adamant that nobody makes any money playing video games. he was pissed that people actually make money with games when i showed him how much some folks do. my response was about verbatim of what he told me.

LoL average salary for north america is about $450,000 a year. Some get over a million. That's not counting personal endorsements or their streaming money, etc.
