He was sheriff, judge, jury and hangman.
Judge is dead, sheriff adjudicated the shite out of him. No appeal.

What do you guys up there in Kentucky think happened, Belle
There’s a lot of hub bub from EKY folks that the Judge liked them young. Going back to when he was a lawyer. My guess is we have one less diddler on Earth today and I’m not particularly sad about it.
I do think the Sheriff should’ve just taken his arse out in a holler and made him disappear. Given what I’m hearing of the guys rep, I don’t think anyone would’ve blinked twice over it.
Makes me wonder if the Judge said something to him and he snapped in the moment. I’m interested to seeing if he pleads not guilty and what kind of defense they put up.
I’d want no part of being on that jury.

TY for the reply. Do you think it was consensual?

I have no problem with child molesters being executed on the spot, but if she was of age and consented, that's a different story.

The judge looks like Harry Bosch’s fat uncle

Sounds more like Lecher County if you ask me.

Unless she’s been held back at some point, the likelihood is she’s not 18 if she’s high school age. In the state of Kentucky, you cannot consent to a sexual act with someone if you’re 16 or 17 and the partner is over 10 years older than you.

Would anyone bet against the Sheriff being re-elected regardless of his address?
Posted on 9/20/24 at 8:57 am to BluegrassBelle
IF he was engaging with an underage child, the Sheriff's or otherwise, then I'm personally fine with what he got.
But like Belle, IF this turns out to be what happened, the Sheriff should have taken care of this more discretely.

The way he dealt with the news leads me to believe it was as much about his ego as it was about the disgusting acts of the judge.
Would he have done the same if it was just some random 50 year old businessman from 3 towns over? I seriously doubt it.
They began working together several years ago in an addiction program (SOAR) so they knew each other very well and the families were close as a result.
I wouldn’t be remotely surprised if he confronted him and the Judge said something that caused the guy to snap. We’re talking about his teenaged daughter and from the accounts of others in the community a close friend as well as coworker.
Whitesburg as a city only has about 2,000 people and Letcher as a county has about 20,000. It’s a pretty small community.

Sure.
But I also wouldn’t be surprised if they can’t get a conviction because of a sympathetic jury. It’s not like it takes more the whole bunch to push back against a conviction.
