These kind of people should be in jail.

And Bardwell is tiny too. Like 700-800 people living there, just up from Paducah.

If we could go back to the good old days when cops dispensed justice while making the arrest, maybe old Baw would learn. A good old black eye with a broken nose on the side, and a few rides on the lightning from Officer Taser would make him learn quickly.

Obviously, going before the judge and getting his finger wag is accomplishing nothing.

Not sure that would fly in this contentious society we live in now.

Several years ago, I got popped at work for marijuana on a hair follicle test. My work required me to go into a 12 step program in order to keep my job. I was a casual user, occasionally smoked on weekends, only to find out a follicle test is waaaay more sensitive than a piss test....lol. Anyway, I did have to attend the 12 Step program and also had to make so many "meetings" a week. The meetings could be AA or NA, didn't matter. That was a very eye opening experience for me.

Some of these people are just what people refer to as screw-ups, whatever that means. I'm not sure I even know anymore. Many that I thought were just "screw-ups" turned out to be PTSD cases, sexual abuse victims, and so forth. Some had just innocently fallen into an alcohol or drug addiction. Maybe from pain killers following a legitimate surgery. Or just a high school kid that started drinking with his buddies like many of us did. Anyway, totally excusing their behavior isn't the answer because most would end up dead or kill someone else. But judging them without knowing their background can be humbling to say the least.

There was one guy in particular that made this guy look good. Covered in tatts, funky crap hanging around his neck, wore like 10 rings, and looked like death eating a cracker. Probably a life long screw-up. Turned out he was a vet. A Silver Star recipient. I got to know him a little and one meeting he showed me pics of himself in uniform that were like 10 years old. No tats, spit and polish, good looking All American kid. Also showed me a pic of the Humvee he was in when an IED was detonated. Lost three of his best buddies in that incident. So probably TBI plus PTSD. And that wasn't what got him a SS. He wouldn't even talk about that, except to say it was in combat prior to the Humvee incident. One night after the meeting was over, he started explaining his tattoos to me. All of his dead buddies were there. Lots of stuff that portrayed the internal struggles he had been dealing with. Taught me a big lesson about judging people.

Really??? Multiple felonies, multiple arrests for DUI, drinking while on probation and told not to, arrests for public intoxication and intimidation.

Maybe you've been there, but I'd feel safe to say not "all" of us, or for that matter, even a few of us.

There are always some that have legitimate issues that causes them to do things like this. I don't think Devin fits in that category.

I don't know how the tournament was seeded, but it is obvious that Kentucky and Mississippi ran roughshod over the competition. They really had no challengers. Who do you have winning the final?

Mississippi challenger:

"Miss. man went on violent crime spree after release from jail due to coronavirus, police say"

MS challenger to the throne

I would say Mississippi Man wins. Sexual assault and rape puts him over the top.

If Kentucky gets drunk enough, we may have ourselves a classic, though.
