I’d like TulaneLSU to chime in but the top 3 things to do for fun in Metairie

Go to lakeside mall

Take TulaneLSU’s “Great Signs of Veterans Blvd” live tour

Have a picnic at bonnabell boat launch

There you go... is that the beach volleyball place used to be in West End?

It is.
If they've got a league or tournament going on, they probably don't want a bunch of kids just going out there to play in the sand.
But yeah, the food ain't too bad from their kitchen and they have some nice drink selections if the parents want to walk over and hang out.

I think there is a playground across the levee by the boat launch as well.

There is a “Game On” on veterans that is a bowling alley, arcade, laser tag etc that the kids may enjoy. There is also a bowling alley on Williams blvd. For food there is Kenner seafood, Harbor seafood, and Smittys which are all good casual seafood restaurants. Also some great ethnic restaurants but the kids probably won’t want that.

Kenny’s Key West was in Fat City right next to The Godfather but that was 30-40 years ago.

ETA Or, am I confusing that with Kenny Vincent's Southside?

I went there occasionally, but that was a long time ago.

My late father in law took me somewhere on Williams between W.Esp and the lake for a cuban sandwich. It was awesome and pretty crowded local joint. No way I'll remember the name of the place but csb.

There is a Dillards clearance center at the old Esplanade mall. Good deals to be had if you have time to look through the racks.

You won't be that far from Gendusa's Italian restaurant. Nice place and good food.

Its All Star cheer, not travel softball. Different tax bracket baw! Our girls have normal names with normal spelling, but everybody gets called by their first and middle names...lol All star cheer is at the top of the chart for most expensive sports! The uniform my daughter wears, that has to be replaces every year is $800, and it can fit into a ziploc sandwich bag.
