Pay an attorney $300.

Every parish is different on what it takes. Call number on the back of the ticket and ask how to get it reduced as a non moving violation. You may have to just send a letter...you may have to go to court on the date to talk to the DA or whoever to get it reduced. They may just need $ and no tickets for 6 months...they may need driving school. Do not use article 894 unless its a last resort...I think you can only use that once every so many years...save it.

Ask to take the "stop" class or some variation thereof.
It'll cost the same as the ticket but will keep off the record.

They had to have written over 100 speeding tickets that day
You can’t change speed limit signs by speeding. It is a process that takes time.

Got one on Burbank by Winn Dixie when the speed limit drops from 55 to 45, it was late at night and I couldn’t see the cop until I was about 10 yards away.
State troopers have been working Burbank pretty hard the last couple of weeks.

Go to the DA and tell them you messed up and you’re fine with paying the fine you just really don’t want the hit on your insurance. I’ve yet to have an issue having them do this with any of my tickets in Louisiana

We got popped in Laurel last week by some jerk trying to meet his end of the year quota. After, we saw probably 5 other cars within the small stretch of road all getting pulled over too.... such a scam.
He said he got us at 80 in a 60...which I know is bullshite bc i had cruise control at 78 until we got into town and clicked it off to slow down a bit to around 70. He got me at the bottom of a hill where I’d probably picked back up to about 75. He was a jerk so I didn’t even bother arguing. Called the court and they wont reduce it but are allowing a driving course to keep it off the insurance.

call DA
They will usually work with you and knock it down to a non-moving at the same price.

go to court date. The judges are generally lenient
They have no authority to amend the charges themselves. So, you're either guilty or not, unless the prosecutor amends the charges in court.

What's wrong with using something that is legally set in place for its intended use?

Keeping speeding ticket off driving record
Well when I was young I took my brothers birth certificate to DMV and got a drivers license with my picture on it. I used it for a fake ID and also for tickets. His insurance was double mine. I didn't tell him.

If your insurance has no reason to pull your driving record they won’t know. It’s not like they’re automatically notified when you get a ticket.

Got popped for 61 in a 45 this morning driving throughPearl River LA. Looks like here they keep it as a city violation and don’t turn in to insurance as long as you pay. Gonna cost me $225 for my lead foot...
Born and raised in PR... pretty sure you are correct. Small town just raising some revenue.

Not much you can do. I like Louisiana but it is a third world shite hole that needs speed traps to get money to function and for cops/government to line their pockets. That being said I got a speeding ticket and paid it a little less than a year ago and nothing happened with my record or insurance or anything. They are either extremely slow or I got lost in the system.

So you drive the exact speed limit all the time?

Plead the 5th then use Article 894 to keep it off your record. That is, if 894 is still around.
Don't do this.
This is your get out of jail free card for misdemeanors, not traffic tickets.

I "think" if you are from out of state it doesn't matter at all, it doesn't go on your record from where your are from.
I also "think" if you are from here and it goes on your record the insurance company only knows it when they pull your record...I don't know if they all do it annually, every now and then, or some other set manner they are probably all different. Also some Ins companies don't nail your arse on a first offence...some might.
Best case is to try not to speed...and if you do get a ticket...try to get it dropped to a non moving/improper equipment.

I kept one off my record years ago that I recieved from brpd on I-10 by spending a Saturday with the dregs of society in a driving class, which was a joke and just a money grab.
