My buddy got herpes simplex encephalitis in August. It was not good and pretty scary. He survived and is doing a lot of rehab.
Scary to think how random it is to have that happen, especially being in his early 30s.
After seeing what that does to the brain this doesn't seem all that surprising.

Throat cancer, neck cancer, ovarian cancer, penis cancer, etc....have already been directly linked to HPV.
Those are easier to link because of their involvement in sex. But now we are seeing less direct influences.
