its as though people are incapable of thinking about anything but kobe, see this evidenced in the half page of kobe related threads currently on TD various forums
we get it, the guy was a nice guy, he will be missed, but he wasnt the only thing you thought about while he was alive, so why not be that same way now that he is gone.
at the rate this is going we will need a special forum just for the kobe threads

I obviously never met the man. That said, I imagine if he could see Cuban saying another Maverick would never wear #24, and seeing the grass roots campaign to get his likeness on the NBA logo, he'd likely roll his eyes. From everything I've read, he just wanted to be a normal father and neighbor these days.

It'll wear off. It's not that often super famous people die, especially at a point in their life when they're probably at their most respectable, responsible, priority-driven, etc.

I feel for the famillies and of course his daughter, Kobe wasn't ever in my universe but knowing his little girl was with him hit me in the feelings.

It happened less than 48 hours ago and involved young kids. It stirs folks emotions. I think it is a bit much but not so much that it bothers me. But if you think we should only talk about some things, don't start posts about the others. It is like complaining that everyone is drinking while you are pouring yourself one.
