Sounds like the liberals are winning the Texas California of the south.

You knew it was just a matter of time.

Oh, I'm well aware. I know the NFBWA is supposed to convert our water sources, but every hood east of 1093 has a supposed "fully funded" date where the fee will stop being charged (I think all but one east of 1093 has stopped paying the fee, or soon will). Except for 77441. I finally got an answer out of the board in 2021, and they claimed by 2030. Our MUD taxes are twice what they are in Cinco, on top of that. I agree, any municipality that counted on Houston to do anything proper was stupid. Fulshear (77441) was a particular outlier that got jobbed.

So, our money is doing what, again? What is the plan, other than scheduling board meetings in Stafford/Sugarland at 5 and 6PM on a Tuesday? They DGAF.

The best thing is a smart sprinkler like a Rachio, which downloads weather data, understands the humidity, wind speeds, etc., and knows when not to water which zones. Cut my water bill from $350 a month (150 in fees, $110 in water, about $100 in sewer) to under $250.

Edited to fix zip code.

There’s plenty of water and temperature readings and precip amounts are a conspiracy. Please water all day to stick it to the Libs in Katy.

You had Aggy printed on your profile, I wasn't going to anyway.

I'm never buying property in Fort Bend again. I need access to females, so I can't move as far out as Belleville, otherwise I would F off to the boonies likes you. I'll use a solar still for water as long as I have high speed Internet in Waller, Harris, etc, rather than live with the Fort Bend Assessor.

The break was me looking up assessment rates in Southlake (where Mark Cuban and plenty of ultra rich people live) and realizing their assessed values were going up 5-7% over a five year period, whereas Houston was laying off hundreds of thousands of people during the oil crash, and were trying to hammer us with max (10%) increases every year. F-Off.

Oh, and trying to dispute my valuations in person, where they said stuff like "market value is not indicative of assessed value." I'm glad y'all used a big word in a sentence which told me I could f myself with a fire hydrant. Hence why you probably moved to Austin County

Houston is going on 17/18 straight 100+ degree days, with no rain in sight. It’s been since early to mid June since it’s actually rained. It’s not just Katy over here that’s implementing water restrictions.

Seriously. Barely even any clouds so we just bake.
