Yeah, on paper it seems like he’d have to owe a a zillion dollars in child support.
But come to think of it, the ex-wife was probably unable to serve him with the child support lawsuit for all these years due to him being outside Britain. And now that his son is either 31 or 34 (depending on whether the reports about the child being 5 or 8 when he started the trek are accurate), the statute of limitations for child support backpay has probably long since expired.

To all the Flat Earthers, Karl says he only fell off the Earth’s edges twice. God’s palm placed him back in a Holiday Inn in Bunkie, LA each time.

Due to visa restrictions, he usually could only stay in a country for 90 days at a time. He had a headquarters in Mexico City that he would go to when his visas expired. And then when his visa got renewed, he'd restart from the exact spot where he was when his visa previously expired. He also had to take about two years off his trek after the 2008 financial crash due to running out of sponsors, and then take roughly another 2 years off during COVID due to border restrictions. Then the Ukraine-Russia war heated up shortly after he resumed his treck post-COVID, so he had to swim the Caspian Sea from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan rather than walking through Iran or Russia. He never returned to Britain during his breaks, because one of his rules was that he couldn't set foot in Britain (even to visit his son) until the end of his expedition.
Guy is an absolute loser
Who fricking leaves their kids.

Did his kid ever go visit him?

Abandoned his young son. Idiot.

So a guy who intentionally abandoned his son, is just a self righteous liberal douchebag.
