Anyone have a link to watch the trial today? I have a ton of chores to get done before family gets in for a visit and this would be perfect to watch/listen to while working.

I have to ask if this prosecutor actually believes his case.

This guy is either an idiot/incompetent or he is going along with some kind of coverup IMO.

Prosecutors routinely rely on LEO for evidence in their cases and they are USUALLY reliable and trustworthy. I can see the prosecutor simply trusting the local cops' version of the facts and going to trial, only to see the whole thing unravel in real time.
I see what you are saying but in this case how did the dude not just look at the Injuries to Officer O'Keefe and ask "are you sure these injuries are from being hit by a vehicle".

O'Keefe had a laceration on his tongue

The state rested their case after 29 days, and IMO they proved nothing.

This case is not going away at the conclusion of the criminal trial. There will be a YUUGE civil trial against law enforcement for trying to frame Reid.

Its entirely possible that the prosecutor is getting hammered with new info every day...
Prosecutor's office is in on it or is being forced by someone to move forward. They had clear evidence that provides substantial doubt Karen Read is guilty. It was public BEFORE the trial and they still went forward.

Explain this to me like I’m a child
I assume he means the BAC was .093 at 9am the next morning. Which means she drank a lot of alcohol the night before

Jackson giving argument for directed verdict. Can't wait to hear Lally on rebuttal.

You may be right, but Turtleboy was likely not viewed as being more reliable than the LEOs.
But consider this: if the DA/ State's Attorney refuses to prosecute Reid when the cops are insisting that she killed their long-time colleague, the risk is that the prosecution is not going to be able to have full cooperation from the cops on any future investigation/ trial. That's a problem.
I'm not saying the prosecution isn't fully in bed with cops, but I can see where they would have pursued a case with holes in it, if a cop killer might otherwise get away.
However, the cops are trying to frame Reid and she is going to get a massvie judgment against them in a civil trial.

This is dumb. You think that if they don't prosecute a crime that clearly didn't happen that the cops won't solve any crimes anymore? Do you realize how dumb that theory is? The only way cops get to actually put bad guys away is to have them prosecuted. They aren't gonna let criminals that are potentially dangerous to themselves walk because the DA refused to prosecute a women that has at BEST a weak case against her and at WORST is clearly being framed.
My point is the DA isn't being strong armed by some back the blue BS, they are in on it.

That the state is sticking to its guns just show you how corrupt Massachusetts is.
It was bad when I left it is on steroids now.

Any coroner will tell you that when a body is hit by a car it results in bruised fists and dog bite marks on the forearms.
Also, you always find more evidence in a crime seen a second time around after it snows, especially hair samples.

This trial just gets better and better. Lally is cross examining a snow plow driver and it seems that Lally is proving LEO's made false reports of the snow plow drivers statements.

He is not being slimy and evasive like the keystone cops the CW put on the stand.

I don't mean to be rude to snow plow drivers but I don't think many of them have Ivy league degrees
