I've worked in restaurants and customer service and the one person worse than a Karen is a La'Karen, would they feel better if there was a Halloween weave for that?

The term "Karen" actually started from the crazy women yelling at people, usually a minority, for walking their dogs in public (see central park incident) or walking in a white neighborhood and being harassed etc. Then it transitioned, because of the pandemic, to white women who scream in stores because A. She is required to wear a mask and or B. She yells at people for wearing masks.
Somewhere down the line it was used for women who yell at others for not wearing masks.
Now it's just crazy white women screaming at people for no reason at all.

The term Karen is offensive to me in the same way the N word is to people. Just another way to demonize white people. There is even a new horror movie with Karen as the villain.

I feel like at this point, everyone has hijacked the term, Karen, to fit whatever they want it to mean.
It was originally coined as a meme, to make fun of middle-aged white women with funny haircuts who just feel the need to ask for the manager in any and all situations. The Karen thing was always a joke, that white people and black people laughed at all the same.
At some point, those white women who feel the need to call the police on black people, who weren't doing anything wrong. They also began to fall under the "Karen" umbrella as well. There were like 3 different popular cases for this mainly that we're in 2017-2018. You had the case where the lady called the police on a family who were barbequing in a public park. They weren't doing anything wrong per se, nor were they bothering anyone else. But they didn't have an official permit, so she felt the need to call the police. Or you had another lady(this one is my favorite), she called the police on a 9 year old lil girl for selling lemonade on the side of the street. The child wasn't bothering anyone, or really doing anything illegal. But the lady wanted her shut down because she doesn't have an official business license.
So there we have it, Karen started as the middle aged white woman who wants to speak with the manager, to now also include those women who don't know how to simply leave people alone and mind their own business.
In 2020, both the right and left adopted the terms in regards to the pandemic. For people on the left, everyone who refuses to wear a mask, and now refuse to get the vaccine. Well you are now labeled a Karen. For the right, everyone who is a huge stickler for masks. Not only do they wear masks, but they need to yell and chastise everyone else who aren't wearing their masks.
At this point, the "Karen" things are needs to die. It's no longer a funny meme. If became way too mainstream. When my older aunts who are in their 70s, who don't have a single social media page, but they know all about the "Karen" thing. Yea it's done now.
