When the economic development shifted back toward downtown and surrounding LSU area + Katrina, this town turned a shitty page.
St.George will shock the shite of of the local government.

Can't agree on this. I wouldn't exactly call this a traditional karaoke night. The karaoke is dominated by rap music and all the songs in between are rap music. They might not have chosen the crowd, but they aren't doing anything to deter it.
Preppy frat kids love rap music to, it has nothing to do with the music. Go to any college bar in America it is dominated by rap music. Rap music is not race, ethnic group, religious group, socioeconomic group, etc., etc. specific. It’s been that way as far as I can remember.
Steps to deter it other than changing the music, as you think is the only factor, have been charging a cover, increasing the cover, not holding karaoke night for several weeks in a row. They can’t do anything to stop people from showing up, least they be called racist and it affect their business also. Also a lot of those people aren’t even entering the business they are hanging out in the parking lot.
ETA: forgot to mention they even hired off duty police to work security, they were even present when the shite hit the fan the other night. These people don’t fricking care what you do, they want to cause trouble.

About 10-15 years ago a lot of LSU students lived in the apartments on Brightside.

. As groups fled the parking lot, a person trying to drive out of the lot got caught in the crowd and was attacked as she knocked people over and bumped into cars. The driver was beaten and her car damaged by the scared mob.
Video recorded by onlookers shows the crowd encircling the driver and climbing on top of her car. Police can also be seen handcuffing that same driver and leading her away.
Wtf
This is what mellow had turned into? Jesus
This is some hood rat shite

That's actually one of the better articles I've seen written in the past few years.

Crap like this is why my son is going to LA Tech instead of LSU. Baton Rouge is going downhill

It’s so comical how fast Gonzales is about to take off economically after 2 nights ago with BR pissing Exxon off and ascension handing Shell a huge tax break.
More and more stuff like this and then Exxon cut operations in BR, ascension gonna be a hot spot before too long

Of all the places around campus they decide to occupy MM. I say occupy, because that’s what they do, most don’t buy anything they just occupy space and and a lot of them don’t even come inside they just hangout in the parking lot
This is what we did in highschool at the Taco Bell at Essen/Perkins. No shots fires but it was good for a fight or ten.

The school board is pissing off Exxon. Not BR.

It's been downhill a while now. My parents had a friend that was murdered while they were all students there in the 1970's.

WBRZ may have the worst written article I have ever read regarding this incident.
WBRZ puts more stock in the hot bitches than they do in their quality of work.

This shite wouldn't have happened with Danny Rockwell of The Mixed Nuts leading the talent on stage. Get it together Mellow...

BR has reached the point of no return- whether people accept it, on not. Those who can remember Gardere, for example, being a safe place to hang around know this is the truth.
As always, it will take a grass roots mandate to make me overcome my innate modesty and repost it

Is there a video out there anywhere of this incident?
