Technically true but you are kind of leaving out the fact that they specifically told him to leave her alone and to not comment on social media about her.
quote:

Yeasin was expelled in November 2013 for violating an order not to contact the woman after the collapse of their relationship, which court documents say was "tumultuous and at times toxic."

The university had warned Yeasin against harassing the woman, including making references to her on social media, which came after a series of incidents that included Yeasin allegedly detaining the woman in a car, The Topeka Capital-Journal reported. When he tweeted demeaning messages that apparently targeted her, Yeasin was warned again but continued the behavior, the school said.

In his Douglas County suit, Yeasin argued that KU had violated his right to free speech, and that neither the car incident nor his tweeting took place on school property.

The case has drawn attention from free speech groups and Kansas State University, which filed an amicus brief arguing that Yeasin's tweets were off-campus, so the University of Kansas was not required to sanction him.

Judge Stephen Hill's interrogation began Tuesday soon after KU's attorney, Sara Trower, began speaking.

"Why isn't that prior restraint of speech?" he asked. "You can't talk about anybody, isn't that right? Isn't that what you're saying?"

Trower responded that the school is saying "you can't persist by retaliating and harassing her, seeking to alienate her."

Yea I think a lot of the reactions on here are from people who just didn't read the link. I was guilty of this at first then i went back and read it. He did violate the order.

That's the really funny part. He only said "psycho bitch," and she immediately knew he was talking about her.

And if she was blocked, how is that harassment? And the order is bullshite to begin with, so frick Kansas.

not sure why he deserves so much sympathy when he was specifically told to leave it alone by the school and just haaaaaad to post on twitter.

Hard to believe that there aren't people going to the school linked to his twitter that didn't know exactly who he was talking about.

Insinuation in view of people who aren't her isn't directed toward her and isn't harassment.

And the "order" is a misuse of Title 9, so yes, it's bullshite.

If the order came from a court, then they should be the one putting out punishment, not U of K. Especially considering it happened off campus. If the order came from the campus administration, then frick them, I want to see them lose in court.

Essentially what they are arguing is that the university can sanction speech in and off campus, and apparently on the internet. We have the first amendment for a reason - for now.

I'd say expulsion is letting him off easy. The first amendment doesn't give you the right to bully and cyber-assault like he did. This type of virtual rape needs to be punished or it will only continue.
You've shot your wad already. Scruffy already knows its you posting stuff like this before he even looks at the name.

You trolled too much and too often. It has been overplayed. Sorry.

I'm actually curious how the university could get involved with their relationship to begin with. Were they living on campus? Had it been proven that one of them was stalking the other?

After a dispute between Yeasin and his ex-girlfriend—who was also a student—KU imposed a no-contact order on him. KU then accused him of violating that order by tweeting “psycho bitch” and “#psycho,” even though the tweets did not identify his ex-girlfriend as the target of these insults
Colleges really have become the "thought police". Can you imagine what they would have done if he had included a picture of the Rebel flag with his tweet?

Psycho - Triggering the negative emotions of all mentally ill people.

Bitch - Triggering the negative emotions of all women.

Psycho bitch - triggering the negative emotions of transgenders who have been called crazy for identifying as a female instead of male

Using Twitter - Using social media as a means of triggering others when social media is clearly a tool for promoting social justice

Living in Kansas - Willfully identifying as a resident of a red state thus being most likely aligned with Republicanism, white supremacy, and racism.

This guy deserves scaphism for the atrocities he has committed against his fellow genders.
