Actually there is now a good number of uber wealthy black people in Jackson, and bigger number of upper middle class black people that almost didn't exist 25 years ago
And let me educate you on where they reside- Flowood, Madison, Clinton, you get the picture. It's like when Kim Wade would get these democrat callers on his radio show running their mouth about his take on Jackson, then he'd ask them why they live in lily white Madison lol.

Everyone knows this guy is a stone cold killer. You heard what he did in Reno, right?

BLM bro. Unless it’s black on black crime. Then it doesn’t.

I think this is why Deion Sanders will take any coaching job that becomes available to him that is outside of Jackson.
I honestly didn't realize what a shithole this place is until I started keeping up with Deion Sanders Coaching job at Jackson State.
What he is trying to do is a good thing, but I just don't think it will be done in Jackson.
In summary, he is trying to take the hood out of his players..He told them the other day that they either want to be athletes or gangsters, but they can't be both. And that back in his dad if the streets knew someone had the talent ti get out, they were protected, but today no one cares about their future, etc, etc... And I am thinking "this is college kids he is telling this too".. Then I realized.. It is in Jackson.. That is sad that that's what he has to focus on...

What the heck is going on?
Seems a little dramatic for a perennial contender for worst shithole in America

Grew up outside of JXN in the 70-80's it was a nice souther town. Now it is a shithole. I have friends in that are Madison etc that will not enter JXN for anything.

At the crux of the issue is a question no one has answered definitively: what is driving the killings? Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba has blamed the crime on the pandemic and systemic poverty, poor education, a lack of jobs and little financial support from the state to change the circumstances of residents. A closer look at the homicides and interviews with law enforcement, crime experts, citizens and politicians, tells a broader story

My guess is that most of the growth has been in unincorporated Lamar County, meaning that the growth is in the Hattiesburg metro area but not Hattiesburg proper.
The city encompasses most of Forrest County. It only covered a small portion of Lamar County unless something has changed over the past 20 years.

I think Deion is probably becoming a lot more conservative simply by seeing the kind of shite that goes on at JSU and gets excused away
He got tired of getting his shite stolen out of his truck and out of his office, as well as not putting up with the spin put out by the school claiming a “misunderstanding” about coaches’ personal belongings being stolen.

Damn. When I lived there, I remember the city setting a new record with 50.
It was a shithole then. Now it's a cesspool.

BR just recorded it’s 116th murder of the year when someone was shot to death yesterday off of Edgewood Dr.
Not to mention the double shooting that took place off of W. McKinley St the same day, Tuesday 9/21
This time last year there were 95 homicides in BR, with an all time record of 136 homicides for 2020. Suffice to say, this year will easily eclipse 136 homicides, with over three months left in 2021.

I don’t think these were the kinds of records that SWB and MP were hoping to set.
