I should have said millions

77% of single mothers do not receive any form of child support

Child support, in the accepted colloquial meaning her in America, means financial support provided to one parent from another. You know that's what I meant and so did everyone else. What you're doing is play semantics.

I get what you’re saying, but the point is that both parents have an obligation and the parent who is most likely to peace out of hands-on care is typically the dad. If you do that then you’re writing a check and frankly, it’s the least someone can do and lots of dudes don’t even do that.

Its extremely relevant when you say “typical clear chaser”

The typical clear chaser is a random woman with zero going for them

Not an honors law grad that was an ex girlfriend from college who was a fellow athlete

It's practically encouraged by the legal system and large parts of the black community.

If it were up to me the father would get primary custody in most cases after the kid starts grade school. Mom's can see them every other weekend and all that nonsense. I mean the data is irrefutable, as a rule single mom's are terrible at raising well adjusted and productive members of society.

Umm, did you not see the stat 77% of men don’t even financially support their out of wedlock children?

How do you think it would go if those men were then forced to take the child in their physical home

I don’t see a lot of guys with kids they don't live with fighting to get custody of their kids, so not sure how that would work.

Do you force them to take custody? And are the kids really better off moving from a parent who wants them but isn’t doing a great job (for whatever reason) to a potentially apathetic one?

Better than things are going now for kids from single moms. I mean I bet if I was so inclined to look it most single moms aren't financially supporting their own kids. They receive child support from the father or tax payer funded welfare, or both. And then they raise a bunch of drug addicts and criminals.

You can’t possibly believe that

We aren’t talking about a man that wants to be involved getting custody. We are talking about the vast majority that don’t even give a penny to their child now being forced to physically take a child

You understand you are going to be handing 5+ kids to some of these upstanding men who want ZERO to do with these actual breathing human beings?

In Texas it's 20% of net income for the first kid (and obviously goes up incrementally from there) to a max of $9,500 or thereabouts if I'm not mistaken

Bet they stop knocking up hoodrats after they realize they'll be rasing kids by themselves. Either way, I still think it would be better for the kids in the long run. What were doing now clearly isn't working. I mean, most of these dudes that want nothing to do with their kids or pay nothing in child support were raised by single moms.

We should go back to that as long as the societal norms also truly drive home the true meaning and social consequences of being a dead beat dad should be.

Men support their families. Men raise and provide for their children. Period.

Of society truly believed this, women wouldn’t be raising kids in their own. And if they were, the community would know and shun the dead beat father making him unattractive to women, meaning they would stop sleeping with him if they were wise. and fewer unwanted children would be born.

All in theory.

I thought she was supposed to have the baby and not abort? She does that and is now a whore? You pro-lifers don’t exactly make it easy on the ladies to keep the baby, you know?
