What the frick man? There was a public trash can 10 feet from him too. I’ll drive through plenty of neighborhoods in Nola that are just absolutely littered with garbage. It’s a disgrace. Littering is one of the trashiest things you can do simply because of how easy it is to not do it. The worst part is the guy had a $40k+ Muscle car too so he clearly has a taste for the finer things to some degree.

It is infuriating to take pride in a beautiful neighborhood for some people to just not give a frick and treat it like their own trash can. I’ve about had it and am moving out within the next year.

Chase him down and tell him verbatim, “It’s a trash CAN, not a trash CAN’T” and report back.

There’s a special place in hell for people that regularly litter.

I never litter unless I’m in New Orleans.

The Baton Rouge vs New Orleans thing is like 2 fat kids arguing over who is the fattest at fat camp

You don't realize how much trash NO has until you move away.

It hits hard once you've removed the acclimation.

Does anyone notice the OP literally gives us a day to day update on things he sees specifically in uptown New Orleans? It’s odd.

If litter bothers you this much, New Orleans was never for you. Even outlying parishes with higher living standards have a higher tolerance for heavy littering than most of America. And yes, it is embarrassing.

Post Katrina, a bunch of do-gooders cleaned up a few blocks of the 7th ward. Looked a lot better. Was back to the same levels of trash again within a year. They didnt realize it wasnt the storm that made the area shitty.....

I just picked up a garbage bag full after I cut the grass. It’s a cultural thing that won’t change in our lifetime, sadly

This entire board is very weird.

ETA: I’m also not from Louisiana. I’m about to check out though. The day to day happenings of the citizens here shock horrify and amuse me almost every day. Not my fault I grew up in a place where none of this shite happens everyday.
