Fun fact, it's never "anonymous"

We had to take an anonymous survey one time at work to see how well we understood some new governmental rules that were being implemented. Come to find out they were sharing those results with upper management (ie your team scored an average of 50% on the survey test...better help them out). Well when you are only one of two people taking the test on your team...it was not ideal.

I work for a fricking corporate hospital... They're too cheap to give out those kinds of prizes... They use to give out decent shite before they were bought out...
Now they give out shite like "Health Care Hero" signs with their name plastered all over it...
In good years we got a decent cash gift and a ham, then it went to just a ham, and the last one ended up being some cheap Chinese grill tools kit worth about $5.

Us too, now they give us $20 Rouses gift cards...
I always get a fifth of Jack with it...

I finally did it, something tells me she'll stop asking
You do realize it’s possible to give a list of people who took the survey without giving them what they said as survey answers?
Often it’s a third party that handles the data and generates a generalized statistical report to the employer.

Not anonymous and stupid. Never seen anything constructive come out of these. If you voice any concerns or lack of faith in the management, they don’t look into what is wrong, they bash you as a trouble maker. Learned that lesson years ago. Now I just give all 5s or 10s and move on. Waste of time.

That’s like when I found out at my last job that the IT guys can still see what you did in incognito.
It's funny how people think I can't see what they're doing just because they're going to a HTTPS site and using icognito mode.
SSL Decrypt baby. I see it all.
(with the exception of some stuff like medical and financial sites)

If its done on your employers network, IT can see it. And never believe them if they tell you they can't see something because if you ask them and they tell you they can't they are hanging up with you and immediately going see what you are looking at..

This. Used to work for a company that one of the services was third party administration of these surveys and for the most part, it really was anonymous. Once the emails were dumped into our system, they were all assigned random numbers that even we couldn't match to a specific employee. The employer never had access to the system or was given the raw data. They got a report at the end with the info sliced and diced in different ways and some "comments" that were modified or combined with others to be as generic as possible.
That being said, the vast majority of companies do nothing with the info that might come out making most of these surveys worthless.

I get that, but I find it hilarious that she kept hounding me and asking me if I took it when it wasn't mandatory...

Ugn, Hangover, those idiots take those surveys serious. I transferred to a hospital where the dept I took over really should have been shut down. 3 lawsuits that seriously hurt some people, etc. The place was a disaster. I brought it up to bare minimum standards in about 9 months...with people that didn't either know or care about what they were doing. I also decreased the staffing by a third, from 33 ftes to 23. Everybody essentially hated me because they not only had to work, but also do it correctly. I also was averaging $100,000 less expenses per month with a good increase in revenue. Then they gave out this survey.........you can imagine how I did. Within 2 months I had to transfer again due to the fricking survey. Just pure idiocy. (El Dorado, Ark)

Our department asks you to answer honestly and than gets mad when the results aren't what they wanted

I remember when the company I worked for had an anonymous safety reporting system that required you to use your company login to gain access to the program.
Needless to say, very few actually believed it was truly anonymous and even less used it.

Department heads at Conway are totally committed to having good results. Many really good employees have been terminated or forced to leave simply because their supervisors believed they wouldn't give them good results...usually all based on hunches. In fact, I know one that has gotten rid of his 2 best allies, and the idiot didn't realize it.
