Last question was, "Do you want your name submitted for a prize drawing, your answers will not be provided"...

anonymous huh....?

It was not required and supposed to be anonymous but my director kept texting me asking if I took it or not...

I finally did it, something tells me she'll stop asking...

can you do the survey twice? if so, just fill it out with what they want to hear and provide your name for prize

That’s like when I found out at my last job that the IT guys can still see what you did in incognito.

Pretty much every answer I gave was "neither agree or disagree."

When I was a corporate man we used those surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of our management team.

It was less about what the survey said as we realized many employees would see it as an opportunity to bash management, but more about effective leadership from our managers and their ability to motivate their employees to take a voluntary survey.

We did "anonymous" evaluations on co-workers once. Didn't trust it.

Then we all got one for the CEO. I sure as hell didn't trust that one to be anonymous. IF he wants to know who said some sh!t he will find out.

We take an "anonymous" survey every three months or so. My boss was imploring people to not only answer the questions, but to also add commentary stating that it was the most important part. He made sure to tell everyone that no one would know who wrote what.

I asked if I wrote that I was gonna blow the building up and burn this sucker down, if he thought they'd figure out who wrote it. No comment!

I can totally believe that...

If we got 100% we were offered free Canes... One of our newer employees, a new graduate, was saying she hoped we got the free Canes, I was like WTF, just go buy it...

Director was always stressing about us taking it...

We did anonymous surveys at a company where I used to work. I noticed that the URL was a long string with a 4 digit number at the end. When I finished, I pasted the URL into my browser and tried a few different 4 digit numbers until I got a match. I was able to see what one of my peers had submitted.

This was almost 15 years ago so I’m sure survey technology has improved (wink! wink!).

Only Canes? We always had prizes, but they were Yeti coolers and stuff you actually could use. We gave away a BGE one year to the manager that had 100% submission from their department. Looking back, it was IT so they probably hacked the system and cheated

I work for a fricking corporate hospital... They're too cheap to give out those kinds of prizes... They use to give out decent shite before they were bought out...

Now they give out shite like "Health Care Hero" signs with their name plastered all over it...

I lied my head off taking those surveys. My manager knew how I had responded and thanks to my positive attitude I was left alone.

The three out of 10 who were honest caught holy hell.
We had tried to tell them but they were relatively new and thought it was truly anonymous.

Yeah, you clearly don't know how incognito mode works.

It protects you from nothing except your browser "history."
