And we're coming up on the 8th anniversary of the death of the last American WWI veteran (the last WWI veteran from any country died nearly a year later).

Cleopatra lived closer in time to the invention of the iPhone than she did to the building of the Great Pyramids of Giza.
That's my favorite one, but I like to use the Luxor in Vegas instead of the iPhone.
The Great Pyramids are frickING OLD.

Although a common misconception, Snuffleupagus was not a wooly mammoth, but simply a non-defined pretend animal that was actually a muppet controlled by humans.

We have the oldest Constitution still in use, seems like all other countries are even younger.

There's a bar in Ireland whose doors have been open since the year 900. And the pub has records of just about every owner in the establishment's history.
It's called Sean's Bar.

Wonder Years aired: 1988 to 1993
Wonder Years represented: 1968 to 1973
If Wonder years aired today: 2020-2025
Equivalent Reboot would represent: 2000-2005

There was a conversation in the movie "The Devil's Own". In it Harrison Ford is telling Brad Pitt that some of the houses in his neighborhood are 300 years old. Brad Pitt's character (from Ireland) replies that the newer houses in Ireland are 300 years old.
I was born two years before the bicentennial. I'm hoping to see the tricentennial (highly doubt it though)

That means that there are Americans walking this earth today who knew someone earlier in their life who personally knew Revolutionary War veterans. I don't know why, but that blows my mind.
That's not what that means, unless you are calling "Revolutionary War Veterans" veterans of the Civil War.
No one living today has ever talked to someone who fought in the American Revolution.
