There is no reason anyone would need measurements to install a skimmer. I think these know-it-alls must think you need to take the whole frame of the ATM off and replace it with a decoy.

Probably, but unless they put it on a pedestal in the gas station, I'd bet that all ATMs are made to meet that spec.

On a Diebold 240xt you measure two inches down from middle pin, then six inches over. Then drill in.
The with a wire push it in hole and twist. That should free the arm. And then you open it.
