This reaction always amuses me. Don’t y’all preview or hover a mouse over all links automatically? After all it isn’t exactly hard to do. And there’s no telling without doing so whether the person who posted a link actually named the link accurately or truthfully.

It is the principle of the matter.
If we lose such common courtesy as providing a brief summary of a provided link, we may as well descend into complete, Mad Max level anarchy.

I wonder if the FAS will update the Doomsday Clock.
Recall, in a completely non-partisan way, they moved it 3 times from 2017 through 2020, each time making it the "closest" to zero it has ever been (effectively 3 consecutive records).

You can give a description of the link and label it "this is what is in the link" for the actual link and some dumbass is going to call out your blind link. The forum software makes all the fricking links blind, you hover to see where you are going. Now the post that only says "Link", frick those guys.

The current defcon level alerts range from levels 1 to 5, with defcon level 1 being the highest U.S. military defense readiness warning status that can be ordered by the Pentagon, such as in situations like a state of war, or heightened nuclear threat, and defcon level 5 being the lowest threat condition in the warning system and means a current state of peace .

Exactly it’s not like it wasn’t apparent where the link would take one.
Anyways, there used to be a poster here a while back who would use a screencap of the linked page and clicking the image would automatically take you to the website. That was far more useful imho.
