Yep felt this one in Shreveport. A weird sensation for sure, and not a damn thing you can do about it. And this was a baby one compared to the ones the west coast baws get.

People all over FB felt it in Shreveport.

I live in South Bossier City, almost as far south in the city as one can be. Red River Parish is directly south of Bossier Parish and about 45 minutes away from what they are calling the epicenter. I woke up at 4:30 this morning and was still awake at 5:30 when it happened and I didn't feel or hear a thing. I call bull crap on people north of me saying they felt anything.

I live just south of sligo road. It made the blinds on my windows sway back and forth. It felt like a giant cellphone vibrating under my house. It was immediately noticeable and lasted about 10 seconds.

Yep it’s an active fault line. It’s the reason they had to tear down the old Woodlawn. I think the fault is/was moving about 1/4 of an inch a year.

Because the epicenter was close to my house. There is a fault line that runs through my property.

But it's not seismic.

I didn't "feel" it in Shreveport, but I woke up to my house creaking (old pier and beam house), and I even asked my wife "what was that?"

I thought maybe one of my kids had got up early

All creep faults are active but will not produce quakes.

Something like that. There is old stable crust to the North and alluvial soil to the South.

That was just the roar from the crowd in Lafayette after ULala beat LSU in baseball last night. Similar to LSU v Auburn in 1988.
