Just had 2 fatherless kids show up in my yard on bikes

I have a bridge crossing my ditch and they thought it to be fun to cross. I let them have fun. It was great to see kids actually outdoors having fun. They both approached me and spilled their stories to me once they figured out I wasn't a threat.
I've never seen them before in the neighborhood so I figured they were new here. Its amazing hearing the stories elementary school kids can tell as far as how messed up their lives are and are just scouring the neighborhood looking for someone to listen to them.
Very sad but hey, at least they're out there having fun on bikes.
