How many officers, in any big city, do you see just walking around patroling the streets?

Last time I was in NYC it was a lot especially near Times Square. You know where all the tourists go, kind of like the French quarter

Took the family a year ago for Spring Break and was blown away how safe we felt

Everywhere downtown and Times Square had 2 or more cops at every intersection both sides of the road.

Thanks to scum of the earth liberals, its not worth your life being a police officer in a city like new orleans. You will either get killed or arrested for trying to protect yourself if you happen to kill a criminal.

Plus I’m sure the officers that they do have are horrifically mismanaged

Those people that live in that area have money.

Exactly. And some like the idea of not having people, with the slightest concern for their vehicle, speeding down the street causing problems. Especially one of those assholes with the sportbikes that would have no problem doing 70 down one of those streets. The potholes are probably the best speed limit enforcer around.

Sounds like a regular shift, IMO.

Haven't seen it widespread reported, but seems some NOPD decided to clear out a section with pepperspray. Not sure what to believe just yet.
