From personal experience, two things work really well and keep them away forever. A 32 inch Louisville Slugger and a 12 Guage Remington shotgun
A flat shovel to the side of their head works too. Gives you more reach and surface area to work with than the slugger. But a 9mm fed to him works too.

Would have laced up my cleats and tried to launch that fricker like Vinatieri from 60. This boom cannon ain't to be fricked with, Mr. Possum.

They used to come into our garage as a kid. My dad would pick them up by the tail and throw them across a canal into the woods by our house. All the kids would come watch. I guess they can't do anything when hanging by the tail.

Possums don't give one frick.

Chasing off a possum is a lot like fighting off a retard. Darn mindless hogs don’t even know they’re hurt.

a shot a possum in the face with a .40 a few months ago

Possums and armadillos are prime targets for a sand wedge across the dome

So it takes you 3 swings to get it out?

They have terrible eyesight.

I had one run in through the front door right after I had stepped outside. Had to use a rake to get that little bastard out from under my desk and back outside.

They’re called varmints for a reason. Shoot him with a pellet gun or club him to death with an axe handle.
( anything like a broom stick will do, just gonna have to swing harder and a few more times. A wooden axe handle is a perfect weight.)

Cats would not fight him.
Then your cat is overfed, dont feed it for a few days then only put out one single serving, your cat will battle to the death for it.
Not sure why you want your cat to fight but that will do the trick.

I hate when those little nasty frickers look at you with those beady red eyes and hiss.
Only two things nastier than a possum.
1) armadillo
2) Ashley Judd

When I lived in the country in St Martinville we would routinely get possums and armadillos in the yard at night
I was pretty good at doming them with an old Wilson Sandwedge. I didn’t miss
