Just confused with the process we are going through w/ Covid & our ability to move forward

This is my thought on this and I know others won’t agree but as someone mentioned in another post 1.5 million people died from Tuberculosis last year so that brought an interesting topic for discussion regarding hospitals being overwhelmed.
Here is the thought if we want to get back to real life at some point my god why not build more damn hospitals? I mean they really don’t have to be permanent just temporary in some cases for the cities that are in need or strategic areas we can transport Covid patient who need recovery time.
Back in the day there were TB hospitals for the TB that spread quite a bit and they wanted to isolate them with strictly TB patients. I know because my grandfather lost half a lung and was in one.
It’s silly in my mind to compare the two diseases considering one is fairly deadly and the other spreads like wildfire but mostly affects the predisposed.Since we are a sensitive culture now maybe this is route to go so we can move the hell on and stop worrying about locking down and we deal with it while taking precautions.
I mean as we know this downtime is costing us more than building some extra hospitals. Plus the truth is if they are smart about building them they can be interchangeable to another building of use after we get this shite under control.

Sweden is over the crisis. We just need to open up, and move on.

It has cost taxpayers over 100 million dollars to set some tents up in the NO Convention center & call it a hospital
IIRC less that 25 patients have been there at one time
Also, IIRC the tent hospital in NYC wasn’t used nor were the 2 ships brought in
Maybe it wasn’t really about overflowing hospitals which is why goalposts keep moving

Weird your name is “Lima“ the TB hospital I was thinking of other than the one my grandfather was in was in Lima Ohio.
One of my buddies from HighSchool was from Lima and he said as kids they would sneak into an abandoned TB hospital in the area and mess around creeping themselves out.

No reason to be confused
Do you see bodies lying all over the place? No.
Do you see grocery stores and Home Depot full and every bar in a city at capacity until closing? Yes.
November 3rd is the answer you are looking for

If Trump losses this election we are screwed

I was thinking about how lucky we have been with disease. In the grand scheme of things, covid ain't much.

Because they aren't really needed, this is about Trump and nothing more

The machine grinded to a halt in April and is now rusting itself stuck. I think the mob is just sitting around expecting that any day now they'll wake up and there will be a vaccine and it'll all be over.
We should have never shut down anything.
Eta: the real flu season is now pretty much around the corner. How we gonna deal with that this year????

I do think the Flu will be an interesting study moving forward with people being more precautious washing hands more distance wiping surfaces better.
But your right I think this has been handled poorly as a whole.

It's election year and the propaganda machine and foreign money funnel to extremist groups are in absolute full chaos mode.
2016 top headlines:
Zikka virus outbreak
BLM riots against police for Alton Sterling
Tap water contamination crisis
Nightclub Mass Shootings
Russian Election Interference

Someone else posted that the flu in the Southern Hemisphere has been especially mild with all the covid precautions this year

The answer to you confusion is mostly political. You need only listen to CNN (Communist News Network) for just a few minutes to understand what this is all about.

Memphis did exactly what OP suggested... hss not had the need to use it

You and every politician, political ‘leader’, and medical ‘expert’ as well. They’re making shite up as they go along and it’s destroying what’s left of this dying, crumbling country.

Exactly this. "2 weeks to flatten the curve". Now for some reason we must eradicate the virus ( ) before life can get back to normal.
Saw this interesting comparison of Sweden vs Illinois - LINK

It's a disgrace that what you see in that pic cost 100 million dollars. I can guarantee that if you started digging there's some serious corruption involved. As is always the case with the NO convention center.

run on sentences aside, google:
"certificate of need legislation hospitals"
that's why we don't have more
hospitals. control competition, keep prices high, operate near max capacity at all times.
it's by design
