Not necessarily the case. I’m on my 3rd. 1st 2 both lived beyond 10 yrs.

This is my 4th. Put one down December 2019 that was 13.5 and put my last one down December 2020 and she was a couple months shy of 12.

How old is he? My neighbor has a Great Dane and my lab mounted her a few times.

Those were some interesting pups. I have no clue how my boy managed it, but he did

Lots of good years left. Great Danes are hilarious breeds.

Congratulations on your new pup

I’ve been looking at Rufus every day for a week on Petfinder. He’s beautiful. I so wanted to put in an app for him, but Mrs. Fury said he was just too big. You sound like a good person, I’m very glad he’s going to a good home.

Good for him and you. I wish more people would consider rescue dogs for family pets.

Grats. We had a Ruffas. He was my buddy for ten years. I miss him to this day.

Sir, that's a horse.

Congrats! I love Great Danes. I used to have a neighbor who both raised and fostered them. The one they had the longest stayed full time in the house. The first time I visited their house, I had forgotten about him. I knocked on the door and they yelled "Come in!". I opened the door to a horse barreling...well, more like plodding, at me. I let out a half yelp and jumped back pushing the door back closed. I guess I spooked him because when I went back in he was cowering under the dining table. He would have done nothing but lick me to death after accidentally knocking me over, but it isn't every day a horse answers the door.
