For reference, here's what a packaged clothesline looks like. My guess is dumbass bought it himself and tried to quickly unravel it to support his story. The way it's wrapped up in noose-like so he decided to just roll with that story. What a fricking shite bag.

Don't mistake sash cord for clothes line. The latter has a plastic coating to resist weather.
