The part about protecting your life in a vehicle doesn't require a reasonable person. Just a reasonable belief that without using deadly force, your life or person is in danger.

quote:

4)(a)  When committed by a person lawfully inside a dwelling, a place of business, or a motor vehicle as defined in R.S. 32:1(40) when the conflict began, against a person who is attempting to make an unlawful entry into the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle, or who has made an unlawful entry into the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle, and the person committing the homicide reasonably believes that the use of deadly force is necessary to prevent the entry or to compel the intruder to leave the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle

The Jefferson Parish police department I THOUGHT was supposed to be the “better” department in the area, but they have screwed me over everytime I have actually needed them. They are just as bad as nola pd

I know there are reports that the traffic cameras or security camera on the route show them weaving in and out of traffic and JM following Gasser and vice versa
So, like i said, there arent reports of "Joe chasing down Gasser"

There are reports of both of them weaving in and out of traffic and both following each other

So all that proves is there was tension between the two.

Saying that makes no sense when we don't know the specifics at the window.

It depends on the state and how the law is being applied. Boom could be right about his particular case, but he's wrong about the argument Gasser's defense will try to make. They stick to the law TH03 posted. The state will have to prove McKnight wasn't trying to gain entry to the vehicle.

Unfortunately the other side of this story was shot dead by Gasser.

I have jury duty, well I think I do I got to call today and see. I've never actually had to go in. My paper says 1-17-18 on Debringy street in Gretna.
If I'm supposed to go I'm going to use schools being cancelled tomorrow as my excuse to miss.

It most certainly does.

You can't just shoot someone who is arguing with you at your window.

Yes it does

quote:

It'll be hard for him to get off if JM never tried to get into the car.

Correct

Also, what I am about to post has no relevance for the trial, but for me and my own common sense and how I feel personally, it is telling somewhat on how Gasser might be

quote:

Jefferson Parish prosecutors intend to introduce evidence Ronald Gasser attacked another motorist in a 2006 road rage confrontation at the very same intersection where the shooting occurred. In that case, Gasser was accused of punching a man who called to complain about his driving, authorities said.
