Need to clean out my garage. Have a lot of spare shite I don’t need like golf bags, furniture, mtb crates. Anyone have any recs on junk haulers?

Naturally my go to would be College Hunks Haul Junk since maybe I can get a discount upon arrival if they turn out to not actually be hunks.

I usually load up the bed of my truck or trailer and go to the dump. Just do it yourself! If you need something bigger, it’s prob cheaper to rent a big trailer for a couple of hours than hiring a service. Geez.

I realize people today have forgotten they are allowed to do things themselves tho. Can’t help those types. Same ones that complain about prices of their daily meal deliveries.

Sounds like that Tundra has really payed off for you. Did you buy new or used, assuming all cash?

Bought used in 2017 (2013 base model) for $17,000. Cash of course.

Interesting, maybe you can start a hauling service for extra money on the side? Otherwise, I feel like a Tundra would be a waste of fuel on long daily commutes into the city.

I’d recommend supplementing it with a Prius, and you could use the Tundra when you need it. But for most baws, that’s never and it’s just cheaper to hire someone to take stuff on demand long term.

Not everyone has a vehicle to haul a big trailer.

I've rented a rollaway and did a clean out myself before.

Last time I just hired two young guys with a big trailer. Ended up being cheaper and easier on me.

1.) They are never hanks

2.) I use them two or three times a year and have never had a bad experience.

Post the items on FB marketplace for free and you'll be guilt tripped into delivering them to a single mom who doesn't drive.

BabyTac, do you work on your own cars?

I asked in another thread but you didn’t answer it.

For sure. Oil changes, breaks, Freon charges, etc. All routine maintenance. Saves a few bucks but mostly because I like knowing my vehicle and don’t really trust the high school drop out at your local box store who wants to up sale me on unnecessary shite.

I was just giving him a cheaper option.
For someone without a truck or a vehicle capable of pulling a trailer, that's their only option.

Even with a truck, it really depends on how far the dump is from your house. 3,000 lbs. of junk could easily be 5 trips to the dump (600 lbs. a trip).
60 miles round trip x 5 trips adds up the gas money quickly these days.
300 miles is about 20 gallons if the truck gets 15 mpg hauling an extra 600 lbs.

Steps:
1. Rent UHaul
2. Drive said UHaul home
3. Fill up said UHaul
4. Haul junk in said UHaul to dump

{Not} Profit!

Craigslist and Facebook have lots of those services. Some of them can be sketchy tho. When I was moving out of a house I hired two guys, got a pretty good deal $40/hr for both. It took them little over 3 hours to load all the furniture and boxes. One of the guys kept going to the bathroom and doing booger sugar. Get what you pay for I guess. Ultimately, I got everything done I needed to.
