Make sure to post your pics of Braxxton and Jaiden winning their AAA State Championship and Major World Series Title this month and next, or you're going to feel left out! Also, make sure to clean up your wife's Yukon XLT so that she and the other Travel Ball mom's can compare car notes. Laslty, let's make sure to continue to drop $3K per year to make sure that Hayden and Cooper get that D1 scholarship - meanwhile mom and dad don't have anymore retirement funds.

Would you rather them be home playing video games?

I'd rather their parents be able to afford video games to buy for them instead of emptying their bank accounts for fricking travel ball.

I'm not a huge fan of travel ball, but I'm not knocking those parents who choose to spend their money on it. These threads are getting old.

Far too many kids get brainwashed by their parents who are trying to live vicariously through them. Instead of wasting time & money on this, they should be teaching them something practical like farming or general construction.

How many coaches do these teams have?
Also, make sure at least one grows their hair out all season long.

Nothing worse than opening my news feed every Monday and seeing a bunch of 8 year olds with colored "eye black" and oversized plastic rings from some made up "championship" that weekend. And the flat-bill wearing coaches laughing all the way to the bank. Truly cringeworthy.

my daughter does ballet and dance....are we brainwashing her and trying to live vicariously through her even though I never did ballet or tap dance?

Aw you private to this or are you just another childless person making generalities based on your own limited experience?

In general activities of all types are a benefit to a child's development. Particularly competitive sports

We're talking about baseball. Ballet & dance are excellent ways to exercise.
