Worst part of the trial process. We usually just walk to a nearby restaurant with our cell phones on the table and the ringer on, waiting for the minute clerk to reach out telling us either that there is a question or that there is a verdict. And you can’t even drink, in case you get a damned jury question

I don't know how people like Derek Chauvin or Kyle Rittenhouse can sit in a courtroom for weeks and listen to the attorneys argue back and forth, then wait days to find out if they'll spend the rest of their life in prison. I wouldn't be able to sleep, eat, or think straight.
