Was wondering about this the other day after the video of the Baker HS resource officer tazing the fighting students.

IIRC, the fired officer had spent time as a school resource officer as well.

Gautreaux and I have the same kind of luck.

This was a weird story from the start. I still do not understand the need to arrest the officer.

LOL at the yokels in the that PD who thought they would win that case. Gun shots>>>>> Security Alarm.

Procell was then arrested himself, accused of essentially giving Gautreaux a pass even though he had admitted to firing a gun in his backyard, a violation of a a Baker ordinance that forbids firearm discharges within city limits.

For shooting at a snake, in his backyard, in fricking Baker.

And he even did this:

He didn't arrest Gautreaux, who was later issued a misdemeanor summons after Procell gave the case to other officers.

I hope this doesn't push the zoo opening back to 2050.

None of this makes any sense at all. This is a fine example of actions being taken and arrests made where none were needed. What would Andy and Barney have done?

The Chief, wanted to make a case against Procell bc he wanted to come off as tough on rogue white officers. Identity politics after the Sterling shooting for his base.

Not only was his interpretation of the law completely wrong, but he violated multiple rights guaranteed to an officer during administrative investigations.

2 years later and Procell has been vindicated. The City of Baker will now face civil litigation, but these leaders just look at it as House money.

Elections matter. This is what happens when incompetent under qualified idiots get elected based on a single requirement.

And brproud.com has just posted an article about this same cop saving someone's life in Denham where he works now. Wild coincidence.
