are you freaking serious with this? I don't stop there very often but it seems like the easiest place to get in and out of anywhere along I-12.

Not to mention the roundabouts to the north that are going to be built.

You also have the Cook Rd. extension as well.

The circle at Juban and Florida should have been built BEFORE the circle at Florida and Eden Church. That was piss poor planning. The red light heading east on Florida would back up all the way thru the circle at Eden Church. That was stupid. Clear the obvious choke point FIRST, then work your way backwards.

If you live out in the woods where there's no traffic, okay... I can see your point.

For those of us who live here and deal with it often, it's a lot better than some other high-traffic areas (looking at you, Airline & 12 through Sherwood & 12).

If you think it's bad now, just wait until they get done with the residential expansion to the west of WalkOns.

What’s the road work they’re doing on the backside of all of this by Walk-On’s. Is that a different merge onto the interstate or connecting to Pete’s Hwy?

Residential, at least. No idea on where they are going with access away from Juban though.

If they connect it to Pete's I guess the most likely route would be extending Cook. If they do that, they'll likely have to enhance not just Cook but the intersection at Pete's and the intersection at Rushing before too long. Also, that would be a good time to give Pete's direct interstate access (which would, hopefully) mean the on/off ramps between Pete's and Range would merge to be just an extra lane for that stretch). But that's all just speculation.

They are adding a 4 lane from Juban to Pete’s Highway.

It should be done in another year or two. They are also changing the name from Cooks to Juban Crossing Blvd.

Both Pete's Hwy and 4-H Club Road need exits heading east and entrances heading west on 12 to aleve the congestion at Range and Juban. No need for exits heading west and entrances heading east. Kind of like Power Blvd. in Kenner.

BTW, who was Pete?

I’ll be glad when they finish construction on Juban.

It’s an amazing feat how long it has take for them to expand. Seems like construction started 5 years ago. Same with Pecue exchange.

but there's a light not that far ahead where you can still gain access if you miss your merge.
that turns green for, like 3 cars.

When there is a line in that turn lane, I turn right at the Firestone and make a U-turn

Yes. The worst part for me is exiting the interstate, turning left, going 1/4 of a mile then turning left again into the parking lot. I'm shaking just thinking about it. Probably won't go back again.

Could not agree more. The engineers/designers for every parking lot, intersection, exits, turning lanes, needs to be tarred and feathered. I’m not sure why, but the entire Juban area makes my blood boil everytime I think about it.

They’ll have an outlet at Cook Road soon
