NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Jordy Robertson, father of Saints superfan Jarrius “J.J” Roberston and the sole operator of It Takes Lives To Save Lives Foundation, has been arrested. He was taken into custody on a drug matter Thursday in St. Charles Parish, where he was being held for U.S. Marshals. DEA officials said he was arrested for conspiracy to distribute cocaine, wire fraud and witness threatening. He had his first court appearance Friday morning at federal court in New Orleans. He was ordered to be held without bond. His next hearing is Monday at 2 p.m. In October 2018, the DEA and other federal agents raided his home and office. The DEA did not say why it was investigating Jordy Robertson. He told FOX 8 after the raid that he thought the IRS and other federal agents were looking at his taxes, his organization, and a GoFundMe account he set up for his son. J.J. Robertson’s mother said her son is not closely associated with the organization.

This is what happens when you allow someone that never had money to manage a sudden rush of it.

Wow. That’s really unfortunate he chose to use something to support his sick son and others to try to gain more money through illegal activities.

Honestly, I put a decent amount of fault on alot of the organizations that pimped this kid out (saints etc etc). It never felt right to me

The entire appeal of JJ is he has a "boisterous personality for such a young little fella." Well, he has a boisterous personality because he is actually a teenager......

The whole thing felt off

I just hope everything works out at the end with the son health wise. You can’t blame him for his dad’s frickups.

This is why I am always suspicious of "charities" run by a single person.

I would agree if he was caught stealing the money for a house or something but using it in an effort to distribute cocaine?

I noticed JJ wasn't as prominently featured around the Saints organization this year like he was in years past. He was on the field at the NFC Championship game tho.

Sucks for JJ having to be affiliated with something like this. The kid is great and the national media loved him.

I agree 100%....it's one thing to be able to take a kid with a disability, health condition, etc on the field or in the locker room for a game, but LSU got way too attached to this in my opinion. He was at every single big event, etc. Jeff Marx (who is entirely too attached to LSU athletics in my opinion) was writing, tweeting about him all the time, etc.

Now that Daddy is a drug dealer, it makes the association with LSU look horrible in a public eye. Time to cut ties for good.

I agree.

He was at the convention center a couple years ago when we were getting dressed for Bacchus. He had a couple of handlers that were just parading him around to different rooms and areas of the big room. It just seemed kinda weird.
