Anyone remember the giant wooden playground in John Slidell Park ? It was probably the most dangerous playground I can imagine I mean it had 3 floors lol. Anyway, anyone have any photos of the old monster? Google isn't producing

I went there all the time when we went and visited our cousins in Slidell. We would always sled down on the boxes off the hill on the bridge. That was the definition of dangerous (the whole park).

That's what I thought. I went to Salmen for 3 years and transferred to SHS my senior year. We are the same age and played sports together/against each other growing up.

Hell Yes! That beast was bad arse when I was a kid.

Anyone else get excited when you had a kickass piece of cardboard box so you could slide down the hill of the overpass?

Hell yeah. Idk how more kids didn’t get hurt on that enormous thing. With the rope to climb down from the top. Many a days spent there as a kid.
