His plan will be to shovel money at it thru his various friends companies. That allows approximately 10% of whatever millions he throws that way to get to the problem, 90% will go to his friend's companies. He will be shoveling for 4 years and not think twice about it.

La has the same # of public universities as Florida, but we have about 1/4th of the population. We need to close at least 4 universities. So sorry SUNO, ULM, GSU, NSU State, and Southern you got to go. There does not need to be 2 small public schools in NOLA, ULM and GSU need to be merged with LaTech, and NSU because I need another school to name.

Not a one of you would get the same degree at a real college. Southern is a joke. I had to take a couple of classes there as an add on to my certification. We met 3 times during the semester and turned in 1 paper that was 500 words. It's a joke.

Come to Jackson and see Jackson State University. Practically a brand new campus with gorgeous buildings.
And a low graduation rate with one of the worst ROI's in the country.
Oh, and to build the campus they had to buy out and displace many low-income black residents.

Grambling LOVES keeping SUNO open because it directs public attention from their God awful academic record.
At this point SUNO is more a political metaphor than an actual college. Keep it open and you get the black vote. Want to close it and you are a racist. Any practical, objective leader who sees their stats and facilities knows they need to close.

DO NOT MOVE BRCC. They are doing great where they are currently located. Don't mess with their formula too much. Consolidate Grambling, SU, SUNO onto SU's campus.

I think Southern can still serve its purpose as a school for students who want to get a traditional HBCU experience.
That said, Southern and other HBCUs are struggling because so many other institutions are putting a premium on diversity numbers. These schools were established because there was simply not enough options for marginalized minorities trying to get a degree. Now that minorities are in demand at other schools, HBCUs (generally) are opening their doors for anyone who wants to come.
That's not a healthy academic environment--when your school struggles to graduate a double digit percentile of its students in 4 years, it actually harms the kids who would otherwise normally succeed.
That said, Southern and other HBCUs are struggling because so many other institutions are putting a premium on diversity numbers.
