Oh because I can't stand it when people who can't properly train dogs get them?? Yeah that's a real unique mindset.

Why not use your foot to sweep it away from you. Sounds like the guy didn't intend to KILL the animal, so I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

A pug is a stocky dog. Slightly kicking it isn't going to kill it. You have to punt it in order for that to happen. The guy was a either a pussy or an a-hole. No in between.

I bet she goes and buy a pit bull now. And wait for the day to avenge Mei Fun's death.

ding ding ding

He had a normal reaction from someone who had negative experiences with dogs, and sees a dog (no matter how small) charging at him.

Hell, I see people move out of the way when I walk my 25lbs dog - and he's a pussy most of the time.

Can's say if it was excessive or not. I've known someone to fall off the hood of a slightly moving car and die from a head wound... just hit in the wrong place.

I was running a couple of years ago, and I was on the other side of the street and across the neutral ground (median) from a house from where an unleashed dog ran out after me. When the dog crossed over its side of the street it got hit by a car and got killed.

People need to keep their dogs on a leash if they do not know how to behave off of one.

Read another article that said he kicked the dog straight in the head too.

She may be in the wrong for having the dog off the leash, but this guy is a real pussy if he felt the need to kick a tiny pug hard enough to kill it.

I tripped over some assholes little yapping dog that they didn't have on a fricking leash while jogging last year. Ran by it and then it ran into my legs and I tripped.

I don't think I've ever yelled at someone I didn't know as loud as I did that day.

The debate is about whether the guy should have kicked a small dog to death. He likely had the legal right to do so but that doesn't mean he should have done it. We have the legal right to be douche bags and pussies about a lot of things, but that doesn't mean we need to do them. None of us were there, so we can't really speak in absolutes, but I can't imagine a situation where I would feel threatened by a small pug.

I agree, but that's not the only thing being debated here. Some are saying the law makes no difference cause they can't bite hard, small mouths and etc

Good for him. What he did was legal, what the dog owner did, wasn't.

It's a fricking pug. My pug could barely pick up a tennis ball. It kept slipping out of her teeth. How is an animal that doesn't stand much of a chance against a tennis ball supposed to maim you? You are either an a-hole or a pussy.

First time was b/c a small piece of fence at the college house she was renting was rotted out. It was able to squeeze out and got popped.

Second was her roommates fault for leaving the door open after repeatedly being told to never do that b/c it would always try to run out and find her.

So here's another for you.

Grew up with pugs. They're pretty damn resilient and are much stockier than the other toy breeds. It's not like a Chihuahua or a Yorkie which are fragile little things. Never punted it, but I played rough with her and never hurt her. I'd imagine that so long as it wasn't on the end of its ropes (and it was 2 so it was in it's prime), then you have to kick the frick out of it to kill it.

Maybe the owner of the dog should have explained the fact they can't bite hard before they chose to break the law. Is the jogger supposed to know this beforehand?
