Interest rates have floated as long as the U.S. has been a country. There are some state-level regulations, but nowhere around 6%.

As far as the morality of it, I don’t know. The law had already turned many of the Bonanno crew, up and down the food chain, so it was already falling apart. Plus he had been convicted, sentenced to life and still facing the death penalty for another murder.
Personally I don’t think it’s morally wrong for one to rat on other violent criminals.

The Fed Gov & Globalist are the ULTIMATE MAFIA.
They created RICO so they could put their competition behind bars and get their slimy hands in the game & take over rackets in some cases if it was big enough, ie. Drug trade (you better believe the Gov’t is all up in it)

I've work and talked to a lot of guys that grew up in cities in the 50s & 60s and they will vouch that this did seem to be the case. Course that was before "white flight" hit their neighborhoods.
As for the Gov't, Cleveland's own Mike Trivisonno of talk radio fame, always said the Feds came after the mob long enough that they became the mob. Seems pretty true.
