Might up it to 15 or 20.
wonder how much of it is from NFL Players and/or the rich donations... Strunk family with 1 million i know.
Still in all, removing the 1 million dollar donation, the average is about $92 a donation.

Pretty amazing the good that social media can do.

He posted yesterday that Ellen DeGeneres gave $1 mill and that brought it to 8.5

I question how the money gets distributed with these kinds of fundraisers.

Wasn't the first goal at like $250,000?

You're getting down voted, but this is a legitimate concern with any donation or charity, even this one. I think JJ's initial pledge was to personally oversee how the money was spent. He has now raised 100 times his original goal.

he has a director or whatever over his charity, ain't just JJ Watt in a truck dude. He's already talked about what he's already doing.

I can understand why, but JJ seems to be an alright guy.
Also, there's enough terrible charities out there (Red Cross, Goodwill, Susan J. Komen) that I'm willing to give him a shot.

It's a legitimate concern. This is now way beyond the scope of what he thought was going to be collected (and subsequently managed, distributed, and stewarded). It's now a significant operation. Hopefully he has the right people in place with the expertise to manage this. No reason to think he won't.

Math is hard. The original goal was $500k. I don't think he's hit $50mil yet.
And I trust him to do it better than a lot of so called charities would.

200k was his original goal i believe, he put up the first 100k.

11.3 million bump... he'll probably set a 20 mill goal.
