Paul Tagliabue is the primary reason that the Saints weren't moved to San Antonio. People need to remind themselves about the Benson meltdown at Tiger Stadium when confronted by Lee Zurick as well as the meeting that Tagliabue held at Coleman's place about what it would take to keep the Saints in New Orleans.

Holly heights, which is across from chateau estates is in the Adams district. If you're talking about the area near the redwood apartments, that's highway park.

Holly Heights was Roosevelt when I went there, hence my comment “Roosevelt has always had Hispanics.” No kidding, Redwood was right by Roosevelt.
Did you know that Highway ParkPlayground was originally just Roosevelt’s fields?

Since Hurricane Katrina. Kenner was already heavily hispanic by late 20th century. The rest of the parish has since caught up. The 2 streets of apartments and rental homes next to the 17th street canal from the i10 to the lake have to be 75% hispanic.

I went to that school from 1st grade straight through to 9th grade. With the exception of 2nd grade when we lived out of Louisiana for one year.
It was originally Metairie High School but had an elementary school as well as a junior high school operating on the same campus covering grades 1 through 12. When East Jefferson opened in 1955 consolidating the Parish's high school students, grades 10 through 12, what had formerly been Metairie High School, Kenner High School, and Jefferson High School each became Metairie, Kenner, and Jefferson Junior High, 7th through 9th grade, with each retaining their respective elementary schools grades 1 through 6.
It just worked out that I started elementary school there and "graduated" from junior high at the same school. I had friends I had been in nursery school with and we grew up and were at the same school and in many of the same classes for nine years plus. High School was segregated by gender with East Jefferson being all male and Riverdale and the newly built Grace King for the ladies. When I graduated EJ was platooned with morning school and evening school to accommodate the thousands of students. My graduating class was about 751 if I recall.

Roosevelt became a shite show when they redrew the lines so that the nice area of kenner sent their kids to Adams and the hood sent their kids to Roosevelt. Rather than blend, they went mostly low income.
Less parental involvement and inept Sandy Denspolis never lifted a finger to help the school.
