OP got the title and content messed up.

Oddly enough he isn’t that far off because both appointees are political favors.

Just resumes padding place holders for potential positions in a a Trump administration.

I don’t know as much about the EQ person, but the DWF “chick” being hired is just Jeff scratching backs and not giving a frick.

They waited until April to blast him for poor healthcare outcomes. I don’t like the guy but it’s bullshite to blame him for things that have been an issue for decades before he took office.

Expanding Medicaid was supposed to fix it but it did nothing. That’s how they “made the case” for JBE to expand that his first year.

Gotta love the boomer logic takes on here, "if you don't agree with everything Jeff Landry does, you're a raging homo leftist that loves Edwards."

Actually surprised this isn't more of the OT than just the boomers. Can't be critical of a republican because "it's a better choice than the democrat"

I wonder how much of the criticism never materializes if he would have never gone after LSU about the anthem bs?

It's either that or someone was put into a role that they aren't suited for and everyone down the line is paying the price.

Which one is it? I don't know, could be both, it's government, we's be better off if they were running at 25-50% of what they have now anyway so a few people deciding to quit wouldn't be a bad thing.

LDWF has a ton of corruption. It also has a ton of local political power brokers at the core of it. JBE cut the throat of his original appointee when he wanted to investigate and reform all of it. He installed a puppet who has since been indicted for participating in the corruption. If Landry is smart, he will let her clean it up once and for all.

Why is he hiring children from out of state to do Louisiana jobs? Do we not have people who can do these jobs?
Things were so much better under the in-state senior citizens who were in those jobs before

Looks like her. I'm surprised she doesn't have a hyphenated last name. She's Landry's Token, unless you count Cleo or Austin Badon.

So you think things will now improve with the new people?
Let's look at this again in a couple of years and see.

Uh oh

quote:

Another top aide to Louisiana's embattled environmental chief has resigned.

Stacey Holley, Aurelia Giacometto's chief of staff, submitted her resignation on Monday from the post at the state Department of Environmental Quality, becoming the latest top official to depart the agency this year. Giacometto, a former Donald Trump administration official appointed by Gov. Jeff Landry as DEQ secretary, has come under fire over her management style, which she has defended, saying change is needed at the state's environmental regulator.

quote:

Landry called the ongoing problems at DEQ a symptom of bureaucratic resistance to his secretary's mandate for pro-business changes.

Everything that is going on at the Department of Environmental Quality is not surprising to me. That is a department that is stuck in the Stone Age — they do not want to change," he said in a statement. "This is resistance by the bureaucracy, and we will have this for the next four years until we have a department that meets the needs of industry in this state

That's two chiefs of staff and an undersecretary that the Secretary has brought in herself and run off within weeks or months.

No one you elect governor is going to snap their fingers and magically make Louisiana residents more hirable.

quote:

In a March 1 resignation letter, Chandra Pidgeon, hired just weeks earlier on Feb. 19 as undersecretary of DEQ's Office of Management and Finance, complained about Giacometto's "harassment of longtime employees," actions Pidgeon described as "numerous atrocities" and part of an effort to drive them from the department.

So trying to get rid of the rot?

Maybe I'm missing something but what I get from reading that article is that it isn't the rank and file employees that are complaining and leaving the department. It's employees that the new secretary brought in just a few months ago. In other words these are the people she interviewed and hired after she was appointed. It also appears a few at least came from private industry. The article mentions some coming from the chemical industry.

Nope, selling off the state to the highest bidder. 4 years of KKKlandry and Louisiana will be a Mad Max-style wasteland. Wait, no, more like that swamp in "The Never-Ending Story" where Atreyu's horse dies.

I wish they’d clean it all out and find competent employees vs bottom of the barrel. Start at DMV.
