Hypothetical question, lets say someone is offended by a Malcolm X statue.

Depends. Did Malcolm X start a war on the basis on keep a race of human subjugated?

Now bring in the retards who say the Civil War was about tariffs.

I was born here and never thought about the statues until they started talking about removal. After arguing about it with a "damn yankee" liberal hipster about it, I think transplants like him should go and the statues should stay. Triggered.

No way they are removing it today, if anything they may be inspecting it to see how to remove it intact.

I think they will tie a strap around it and drive away with it toppling down like the Sadam Husain statue. I don't think today is the day because the democrats were not called out to clap and cheer.

They will never be removed.

That entire city council meeting in December was just a dog and pony show to appease to the masses in opposition. Also, to give Mitch his few seconds of national media fame.

This will be delayed in court for quite and while and they will forget they are even there (as it was before Mitch opened his mouth about it back in June).

This is probably the correct answer. The guy appeared to be taking close up photos.

City prepares to remove Confederate monuments, despite lawsuit

quote:

James Karst, an editor and columnist for NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, photographed a work crew Monday (Jan. 11) as they inspected the statue of Jefferson Davis in Mid-City. A spokesman for the city said the crew was measuring the statue in preparation for its removal, should the city prevail in the litigation.

I don't think the city entirely wants this as much as Mitch does.
