Jeans Question -- Over or Under the Label?

Some jeans, typically the nicer ones, allow you to put your belt underneath the label. I typically go over, but the other day the belt went under the label and I just went with it.
Is this a fashion faux pas? Or are you supposed to go under the label?
I've never really thought about it before.

I don't wear a belt. Problem solved.
I'll accept my downvotes now.

Dude, it's identifiably a Gay notation if you let the brand go over the belt.

Holy shite. I'm getting off the internet for the rest of the day.

I'll give a serious reply I guess... Over or under is arbitrary as I don't wear jeans while tucking in. Not many I see do, fashionably speaking.

But you'll miss my thread about if it's okay to wear a brown belt with black shoes!

I cut that label off the day I buy them.

Over but I also don't buy expensive jeans.

You mean high-end jeans like my nephew's Oshkosh B'goshes?

I never go tucked with jeans so I don't really care.
If I had to decide on the spot I would say it goes over.
Just like toilet paper rolls.

That's funny, because back when I was young enough to care about stuff like that, the cheap jeans were the ones that you could put a belt through the label.

My jeans don't give me the option to go under.

But do you tuck in the shirt to show off the fancy designs on the back pockets?

Well, this particular pair are Lucky's.

Don't let 'em hate. I only wear that brand as well. Untuck and just go over the tag.

I only wear Levi's and remove the label even though they sew it so you can't go under it. I'm thinking Levi's foresaw this debate and took action to weed out the gay.

No jeans - only cargo pants for me

Is this what we've come down to? Is there nothing else on Earth to discuss?
