Seriously. Not to mention millions are out of work and about to have absolutely zero income outside of $200 a week. Even if I wanted to find a job it's nearly impossible because there's few openings and another shutdown will even keep the burger flipping jobs out of the question.

WTF are we supposed to do?

I’m assuming jbe will have a press conference Monday? The current proclamation ends on Friday.

If hospitals are not being overrun, none of these restrictions should be happening. I dont need JBE wagging his finger at me like a toddler if I want to support the local economy and eat at a local restaurant.

People should be able to eat out, work out, etc, at their own risk. I had to go through what felt like airport security at Best Buy today to be told all of their appointment options, and I was only going for a new phone case.

There has to be more to this virus than the general public knows. People weren’t like this during other pandemics.

Yep. Time for the good citizens who actually contribute to the well being of this state to rise up in a protest to let our voices be heard. This isn’t about wearing a mask anymore. This is about putting thousands more of us out of business or work and in a position where some will never recover.

Or we can keep posting angry things on the internet from our homes about what we do and then do nothing about it.

Government: “We cannot extend the $600 a week UI supplement because people need to go back to work.”
Also Government: “We are considering shutting down again and imposing more restrictions.”

Either keep the money flowing or do a full re-opening. People will be homeless, hungry, and angry very soon. They can’t do this to us. I want a damn job and I want to support my family.

It doesn’t have to be violent or deadly. It can be as simple as posting a sign in the window of your business saying,

“Come In, We’re Open”

Cops aren’t going around closing business at this point. Not when there’s a national discussion about defunding police. Use this narrative to our advantage. Open up. It’s time. Everything needs to open August 1st. Schools, every facet of government, private businesses, shipping, oil, tourism, etc.

High risk individuals can figure out a way to survive. They were going to have to anyway.

JBE is the one tinkering with the numbers. Feds simply go off the data they’re given to make a recommendation. The LDH hasn’t been forthcoming (by design) with the numbers. Sorry you’re retarded and can’t understand what’s happening.

The amount of mental gymnastics y’all do to defend Trump is amazing

He and his team is actively sending letters asking governors to put forth more restrictions. That’s fricking bullshite. Call out his fricking arse for it. He should be threatening to pull any and all aid for states with lockdowns, instead he is telling states that are open to lockdown further

I don’t give a frick what numbers JBE is feeding them, for Trump to be for more restrictions is a disgrace

Are you happy with Trumps phasing guidelines that allowed for governors to hide under his guidelines for basically eternal phase 2?

Are you happy his task force is actively asking our state for more lockdowns? Simple questions? Why does it seem so hard you you and others to ever call him out?

Yeah I’m sorry. You can’t have both. The restrictions are from Trump’s office but somehow it’s Edwards’ fault. I’m a Trump supporter but I’m not putting this on Edwards. Also, about the gym, I love going but I have dumbbells and I can do plenty of exercises to stay fit. Also, ride a bike or walk for your cardio.

So basically back to phase 1 with masks this time.

I just don’t understand why. Cases are not leading to mass deaths and hospitalizations like last time. Plus there is plenty of space in BR and in NOLA and the other hospitals should have had surge capacity plans in place just in case. Why do we need to shut down?

He’s going to effectively put us back in phase 1 but without calling it phase one. He showed his hand on this a long time ago. Again, it shouldn’t surprise anyone.

It’s all about federal match dollars. He identified his priorities when it was the first thing he complained about when republicans threatened to sue to lift the state of emergency EO
